Hong Kong hosts NODEM 2012
Hong Kong is a nexus of culture and design initiatives with a burgeoning recognition of cultural heritage, and is actively seeking to expand its field of influence, to garner and support cultural heritage throughout the Asian region. In 2006, Hong Kong hosted a seminal conference initiative called New Heritage: Beyond Verisimilitude , concerning new theory for digital cultural heritage. NODEM in Hong Kong again takes up the challenges initiated by New Heritage to create expanded and transdisciplinary visions for cultural activity and heritage interpretation using digital techniques. The proposed theme for NODEM Hong Kong is Digital Intangible Heritage, supported by Digital Intangible Heritage of Asia (DIHA).
